Welcome to WAVEThe Western Australian Volunteering Essentials (WAVE) was developed by the Volunteering Secretariat, Department for Communities and the Western Australian Council of Social Service Inc. (WACOSS), with the assistance of Volunteering WA and the Volunteer Resource Centre Alliance. WAVE is a condensed training program aiming to increase the confidence of individuals and organisations in the management of volunteers. WAVE is designed to outline the most critical aspects that a busy or unpaid person managing a community organisation needs to understand to ensure their volunteer program is efficient and effective. This website is one part of the WAVE program and is based on the WAVE manual being provided along with the free one day training session, delivered by WACOSS and funded by the Volunteering Secretariat. The website can also be used as a stand alone resource manual. This website consists of nine modules the final of which contains a variety of additional resources to either provide supplementary information or useful tools to sumpplement the practices referred to in WAVE. The website will be regularly updated to provide a growing catalogue of materials. If you have a resource that may be useful to others that you are willing to share through the website please email: WACOSS: jackie@wacoss.org.au Volunteering Secretariat: volunteering@communities.wa.gov.au
